Site Access and Layout
A new single storey building will be constructed to accommodate a 2,175 sq.m Lidl food store. The proposed development will benefit from 145 car parking bays including six disabled, nine parent and child spaces and two electric vehicle charging spaces. The Lidl building will be located to the southern edge of the site with the car parking bays positioned to the front and north of the building.
Careful consideration has been given to the store access, and access to any future development in the vicinity of the subject site. Consequently, Lidl propose to construct a new access road, creating a fourth arm to the existing junction of Kings Ash Road/Spruce Way, which will provide pedestrian and vehicular access to the store.
The main entrance to the store will be situated to the north of the store and adjacent to the glazed active frontage, facing onto Kings Ash Road.
